This is one of my all time favourite Crystals. Its energy is extremely gentle and feminine and actually represents the Goddess as Maiden. Perhaps this is why I feel an affinity with this Crystal as I am not yet a Mother.
In a reading, this Crystal to me, generally signifies that the questioner needs to harness their feminine side a little more: listening, empathy and sensitivity. In fact, if you are working in a field that requires these qualities, you may wish to wear a piece. I do! Perhaps you should spend some time near water, to help settle your emotions.
It may also signify a strong matriarchal figure in that person’s life, perhaps someone who has advice for you that you should listen to. It may also indicate that emotional balance is needed at this time. In fact, if you are a woman, you should wear a piece of Moonstone during your Moon Cycle, as it will help to keep you balanced as well as keeping any negative energy you may harbour, within.
Perhaps you need to be a little more patient in your life – don’t rush things. Remember that everything has a natural growth cycle, including ourselves!
You may also need to be more approachable and receptive to other people and situations around you. There may even be emotional undercurrents around the family and you may need to tread carefully at this time. Remember, don’t rush into things right now – wait!
From a healing perspective, this stone should be used over the Solar Plexus or Sacral Chakra. It helps to bring calm and stable emotions as well as releasing tensions from emotional stress – we feel these in our tummy and lower pelvic area as butterflies, tummy ache, constipation or diarrhoea. You may also find this Crystal useful over the brow to aid with headaches.
Another fabulous use for this Crystal is to rub it over insect bites as it helps to alleviate the itching or swelling!
All problems involving the flow of energy, particularly in the female re-productive system can be eased with this Crystal.
